The third symbol is called Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen. With it, you can send the healing at the distance, in time and space.

You can send Reiki to a person that is on the other side of the Earth and the person will receive the same treatment as if he was in front of you. It can be also used when you treat a burn patient or somebody with touching problems, a method called “Beaming”.

A possible meaning of this symbol is “there is no past, no present, no future, it’s just the moment”.  

You cannot send Reiki with HSZSN to change the past or the future, like some say.

If you had a bad experience in the past and if you still hold on your conditionings, you can send Reiki to the past to heal your suffering. You can also send Reiki to the “future”, in case of an interview, exams, surgeries and so. Actually, you will send Reiki for your highest good; you will not change the future.

When we send to the past or to the future, we practically send Reiki in this moment, to heal what we are carrying with us.  

The Distant Healing Symbol can be also use as a “transmission device”. If you don’t know what the cause of a problem is, use the Distant Healing symbol to send Reiki to the cause and Reiki will heal.
